Mr Singh has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon at Guys & St Thomas’ since 2005. This is one the largest NHS Foot and Ankle units in the south, taking complex referrals from all over London and the south-east.
After graduating from Cambridge University he trained in Orthopaedic surgery in London. To develop further his interest in the very specialist field of Foot and Ankle surgery and to learn the latest techniques he completed a fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Harvard University under the auspices of Dr Michael Wilson MD and Dr Christopher Chiodo MD.
Mr Singh offers the latest proven non-surgical and surgical techniques for managing both common and rare Foot and Ankle disorders including:
Ankle sports Injuries, fractures and sprains, bunions and hammertoes, Morton’s Neuroma and tendon disorders, Arthritis of the foot and ankle, cartilage disorders, achilles tendonitis and major deformity correction
His busy NHS practice also involves treatment of injuries and fractures via the hospitals’ 24 hour on-call rota. Mr Singh, unlike a non-medically qualified podiatric surgeon, is a fully qualified Orthopaedic and Trauma surgeon. The generic skills and experience in treating serious injuries to all the body’s bones and joints enhances the ability to deal with difficult non-injury cases.
He is actively involved in training and research.
He is on the regional Surgical Training Committee for Orthopaedics and Trauma and through the fellowship program that he now runs at Guys hospital has trained other Foot and Ankle Consultants.
He regularly publishes articles in both the academic and popular media. He has published more than 25 scientific articles and has presented a similar number of scientific papers at national or international conferences.
